I was the sole designer for the launch of a new stick vacuum for Simplicity. This campaign was created under an extremely tight timeline, and went from product development to launch in just 6 months. I created all print material for this launch including the manual, machine cosmetics, and box art for the vacuum and all of its accessories. I also developed the Out of this World campaign which follows Simplicity’s marketing style of being fun and approachable, and targeting young families. I created all of the digital ads and banners, and served as producer, editor, and animator for the ad video.
This project involved creating a feature video using stock assets and photography since no video of the machine was available. Simplicity at this time was marketing their vacuums with a superhero/comic book style, so I created the video using the 60’s Batman TV show as inspiration. I created a number of animated icons and transitions to create compelling visuals in a video that would otherwise only have static images.
As part of the move towards video and motion content, I created animated versions of most of the icons used by Simplicity to market concepts such as "lightweight", "powerful", and "cordless".
